COLLECTIONS/ MUSEUM COLLECTING POLICIES

What is a Collecting Policy?
A collecting policy is a public document that defines the museums scope of collecting. It aims to encourage confidence in the museum as a suitable repository for objects and to outline the collecting interest of that particular museum.

Why do Museums need a Collecting Policy?
